Frequently Asked Questions

Most tables take 6–12 weeks from deposit to delivery. Larger or highly customized pieces (live-edge waterfalls, thick butcher blocks) may lean toward the longer end. I’ll give you a firm timeline when we confirm your order.

Everything can be done remotely. I communicate through email, phone, text, and video calls for any check-ins you need. I’ll send progress photos weekly so you can follow along. Site visits aren’t possible, but the process is designed to feel personal and transparent from start to finish.

Stain color can vary depending on wood species, individual boards, stain type, and finish. I can’t guarantee an exact match every time. My recommendation is Rubio Monocoat Natural—it lets the wood’s true color and grain shine best. If a color match is important, I’ll do my best and provide up to 6 sample boards for you to review.

Wood naturally expands and contracts with humidity changes—that’s mostly a concern with the top. All tops are attached to the base through oversized holes in the mounting blocks, allowing the wood to move freely without cracking or warping the structure.

Hardwoods are resilient and built for daily use, but they can be damaged. Avoid hitting the surface with metal utensils, never cut directly on the wood, and protect it from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading. Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap—avoid abrasive cleaners. Rubio Monocoat is easy to repair; small scratches or marks can be touched up locally without refinishing the whole table.

Yes—materials and workmanship are guaranteed for 3 years. If a defect occurs, I’ll repair or replace it at my discretion. Natural wood movement, color changes, or normal wear and tear are not covered. Warranty is void if the table is used outdoors.
-
Yes. I send progress photos by text typically once per week—rough milling, joinery, sanding, finishing stages—so you can follow your piece from start to finish.
-
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on all orders before work begins. The balance is due in full before pickup or delivery.
-
Yes. There’s a $200 crating fee per piece, plus freight calculated after the order is placed (usually $400–$800 depending on distance and size). The freight quote comes before the deposit is due so everything is clear upfront.

I hand-select every board and inspect during milling. If a defect appears that affects the final piece, I’ll replace the board at no extra cost and keep you updated with photos. You’ll approve the material before final assembly.
